In Fact, 10% of the U.S. people stated they had accessed the platform within the first two months of its release. Although ChatGPT offers a wide range of advantages such as content generation, coding, research, etc it still includes a variety of disadvantages as well which can cause possible misuse. 

The primary concerns related to ChatGPT usage is surrounded with ethical issues related to ChatGPT usage in schools, concerns regarding cyber security, and the potential replacement of employees in certain jobs.

Most companies have released detailed instructions regarding the proper usage of ChatGPT in the workplace. While some have completely banned the usage of the platform in the workplace. But regardless of the precautions taken there are still cases of exposure of highly-sensitive confidential data on ChatGPT. 

Many employees utilize ChatGPT to complete certain tasks or find useful solutions that can help enhance their performance. However improper usage of the platform can lead to the exposure of sensitive data by the employees. 

The shared information becomes a general knowledge of the tool. Through research, it was also revealed that around 10% of the responding employees have utilized ChatGPT in the workplace at once and around 4.7% of the respondents have entered confidential data into ChatGPT. 

A case of sensitive data spill was seen between the 9th and 15th of April 2023, where 319 cases of sensitive or confidential data were leaked on ChatGPT per 100,000 employees.
